Amanda Peet, known for her acting roles, has authored a profoundly moving essay that details her recent experiences with loss and a breast cancer diagnosis. The essay, published on March 21, 2026, was shared widely by her close friend Sarah Paulson, who also recorded an audio version.

Peet revealed she received her diagnosis of stage I breast cancer last fall. This occurred during the difficult period when both of her parents were in hospice care on opposite coasts.
