Music Composer Alleges Industry Lobbying & Threats

Music composer Amaal Mallik has voiced serious allegations against the music industry, citing a "mixed syndicate of egoistic humans" who he claims have been lobbying against him. In a recent statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, Mallik detailed a hostile working environment and significant professional challenges he has faced.

Mallik stated that since 2019, powerful individuals have excluded him from more than 60 film projects. He also mentioned personally declining over 20 films, deeming the work or environment unsuitable for his artistic integrity. He expressed regret that this situation impacts his listeners and fans.

For approximately eight years, Mallik has strived to work under respectful terms and conditions, but claims his candor about industry practices has further angered influential figures. This has allegedly led to threats against him and his family. He asserts that a powerful group is preventing his involvement in films, driven by award-chasing politics and groupism.

Refusing to engage in clout-chasing or power plays, Mallik encourages fans to listen to his independent music. He announced his debut studio album, titled 'Anjane Safar Par', is slated for release in 2027. This album will include tracks that were not previously used in films.
