Alma Har'el, the director behind 'Honey Boy,' is set to direct a new original script titled 'Wet.' The project is currently being presented at the TIFF market by 193, handling international sales, with Fifth Season expected to finance and produce. Early discussions are underway with notable actors, including Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Connor Storrie, and Odessa A'zion, though no deals are finalized. The script, penned by Har'el and Christian Stangeby, is said to be in the vein of acclaimed works like HBO's 'Succession' and 'Triangle of Sadness.'

Little has been revealed about the plot of 'Wet,' but its thematic similarities to 'Succession' and 'Triangle of Sadness' have already piqued buyer interest. The film is anticipated to shoot in Spain early in the upcoming year. Har'el's previous feature, 'Honey Boy,' a 2019 film written by and starring Shia LaBeouf, received positive reviews and screened at major festivals. Bardem is currently garnering significant critical attention for his role in the Spanish film 'The Beloved.'
