Allu Arjun Fights Deepfakes in Delhi Court

Telugu actor Allu Arjun has filed a plea in the Delhi High Court to prevent the unauthorized exploitation of his personal rights. He seeks to restrain entities from using his name, voice, and likeness for commercial purposes and impersonation. His legal team argued that his identity is being misappropriated for merchandise, AI chatbots, and obscene content generation.

The court, presided over by Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, heard Arjun's plea on Friday and suggested a potential interim order. This move aligns with previous High Court decisions that granted similar protections to other prominent figures. These include Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sudhir Chaudhary, Raj Shamani, Gautam Gambhir, Sonakshi Sinha, and Vivek Oberoi, all of whom had sought court intervention against the misuse of their personality and publicity rights.
