Furthermore, Chinai highlighted significant issues within the music industry, particularly concerning artist contracts. She stated that musicians were often pressured to sign agreements she believed to be illegal. Her refusal to sign these contracts, she noted, contributed to her reduced presence in film music, a situation she found acceptable.

Beyond professional grievances, Chinai also alluded to personal challenges that necessitated her extended break from public life. While she carved a niche in Indi-pop with successful albums, her film song recordings have been sparse since 2013, with her last major hit in 2013.
