- YRF confirms Alia Bhatt starrer Alpha for theatrical release.
- The film was rumored to be headed for a Netflix debut.
- Alpha's release date is now uncertain due to a scheduling conflict.

Yash Raj Films has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated spy action thriller 'Alpha,' starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, will receive a theatrical release. Recent speculation suggested the film might debut directly on a streaming platform, with reports indicating a substantial offer from Netflix. However, a YRF spokesperson has clarified that 'Alpha' is considered a major tentpole production and will not be diverted to an OTT release.
The film, created by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shiv Rawail, has seen its release date shifted multiple times. Originally planned for December 25, 2025, it was postponed due to delays in visual effects work. A subsequent move to April 17, 2026, has now also been impacted. This latest adjustment is reportedly to avoid a direct clash with Salman Khan's 'Battle of Galwan,' which is slated for an April release. The exact new release date for 'Alpha' remains unconfirmed.
Officially confirmed cast members for 'Alpha' include Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor. The action sequences are being choreographed by Craig Macrae, with Aditya Chopra producing under the Yash Raj Films banner. The film is slated for release in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
