Ali & Richa: First On-Screen Romance Awaits!

An untitled situational comedy directed by Shashie Vermaa will feature Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha as an on-screen couple for the first time. The film, set against the backdrop of Delhi, aims to deliver a slice-of-life narrative filled with humor and emotional depth.

Produced by Scenework Productions and Giriraj Productions, the project also includes actor Kumud Mishra in a key role. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, with a theatrical debut slated for April 2027.

Both Fazal and Chadha expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the script's authenticity and the unique on-screen dynamic they will explore. Director Shashie Vermaa described the film as character-driven, celebrating relationships and everyday life, with Delhi playing a significant role.

This venture marks a new pairing for the real-life couple, who previously appeared together in the Fukrey franchise but in different capacities. The production houses are expanding their slate with this diverse genre offering.
