The fire destroyed four units in their apartment complex, rendering them uninhabitable.
Following his release from the hospital later on Friday, Alexander and Cynthia O'Neal are now staying with family. Despite the destruction of their home, Cynthia expressed gratitude for their survival, stating, "We are so happy to be alive." The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
