Alabama Farmer-Turned-Comedian Matt Mathews Expands Viral Tour Through 2026

In the past year, comedian Matt Mathews has been captivating audiences across the country with his Boujee on a Budget tour. As of October 2025, the show has already sold over 135,000 tickets nationwide. Now, Mathews is expanding the tour even further, announcing 22 new dates from February to June 2026.

The newly added leg of the tour will bring Mathews' acclaimed live show to cities including Portland, Seattle, Cincinnati, Boston, Washington, D.C., Orlando, and Baton Rouge, among others. Tickets for the new shows go on sale this Thursday, October 30th, at 10 a.m. local time.

Mathews' comedic material draws on his experiences as a farmer, barrel racer, and boudoir photographer in small-town Alabama, connecting deeply with audiences who see both humor and heart in his stories. Now nearing 100 performances, the Boujee on a Budget tour has been propelled by Mathews' raw storytelling, southern wit, and unfiltered perspective on life as a gay man.

Beyond the stage, Mathews continues to expand his creative footprint, with over 12 million followers and 1 billion views across social platforms. Later this year, he's set to release his debut self-titled music album, following the singles "What a War" and "Joke's On Me."
