Al Madrigal has joined the recurring cast of NBC's upcoming series, 'Newlyweds.' He is set to appear alongside leads Téa Leoni and Tim Daly. The show centers on a late-in-life romance between Jeanie, portrayed by Leoni, and James, played by Daly. They impulsively decide to marry after a brief courtship.
Madrigal will take on the role of Dan, James' close friend. Dan's own aspirations for a single life are disrupted by James and Jeanie's spontaneous wedding. He also plays a part in matching the couple, which earns him the disapproval of James' ex-wife, Claudia, who is played by Jamie Lee Curtis.
