Actor Akshun Mahajan Exits Lead Role in Popular TV Show

In a significant development, the popular TV show Manpasand Ki Shaadi has undergone a major cast change just two months after its launch. Akshun Mahajan, who had been portraying the lead character of Abhishek Dewan, has stepped aside, with Akshit Sukhija now taking over the role.

Addressing the speculation around his exit, Akshun Mahajan says that regardless of the terminology used, his character is now being performed by another actor. According to his discussions with the creative team, this change was required for the character's development and the overall benefit of the story. Mahajan, who has around six years of experience as an assistant director, states that he is not someone who argues with the makers and instead prefers to compassionately understand and respect their creative decisions.

Responding to rumors of his alleged underperformance as Abhishek Dewan, Mahajan asserts that he believes he did justice to the character based on the positive feedback he has received. He credits the show's director, Jaladh Sharma, for approving his performance. Mahajan also clarifies that he was aware of the decision to recast the role and that the transition was a smooth and respectful process without any negativity or issues.
