Akshay Kumar's Next Sold for Rs 60 Cr!

The distribution rights for Akshay Kumar's upcoming comedy film, directed by Anees Bazmee, have been acquired for Rs 60 crore. This substantial advance deal, based on commission, is seen as a major transaction for Kumar in the post-COVID period.

The film, currently known as 'Mauja Hi Mauja', is slated for a 2027 release. The break-even point is projected around Rs 130 crore, a target deemed achievable for this comedy entertainer.

Vidya Balan and Raashi Khanna are also part of the cast. Filming concluded in July, and the makers are now focused on confirming a release window. Notably, Akshay Kumar's recent film 'Haiwaan' did not perform well at the box office.
