Veteran Actor: Akshay Relied on Prompter for Scenes

Veteran actor Sudhir Pandey has shed light on the working methods of superstar Akshay Kumar, particularly his use of a teleprompter. Pandey revealed that during the filming of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha,' Kumar utilized a teleprompter for extensive scenes. Pandey, who has collaborated with Kumar on several projects including 'Paandav' and 'Tees Maar Khan,' noted that while Kumar initially made an effort to memorize dialogues, he has since come to rely on technological assistance.

Pandey explained that the teleprompter's use, particularly in long sequences, has become a convenience for Kumar, suggesting he might be "abusing the system." However, he clarified that this does not impede other actors' ability to maintain eye contact during scenes. Pandey contrasted this with his own acting philosophy, preferring to internalize dialogues rather than depend on prompts.

Furthermore, Pandey lauded Akshay Kumar's significant evolution as an actor. He described Kumar as "raw" in his early career, requiring numerous retakes but consistently improving with each attempt. Pandey emphasized that this iterative process has led to a considerable leap in Kumar's current performance capabilities, a stark contrast to his earlier days on set.
