His father, Nagarjuna Akkineni, a chief guest at the film's pre-release event, lauded Akhil's performance. Nagarjuna expressed confidence that viewers would be so immersed in Akhil's portrayal that they would 'only see Lenin' on screen. He described the film as a "Mahabharata unfolding in Seema," highlighting its dramatic depth.
