Akhil Akkineni's 'Lenin' Faces New Release Date Shuffle

Akhil Akkineni's much-anticipated film, 'Lenin', is reportedly facing yet another delay in its release. The village romance drama, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse, was originally slated for May 1, 2026, then moved to June 26, 2026. The latest reports suggest the makers are considering pushing the release further, possibly to July 10, 2026.

This decision stems from crucial pending work on the film, including visual effects and final editing. The production team is prioritizing a polished final product over a rushed release, indicating a commitment to quality. This is not the first time 'Lenin' has encountered release date changes.

Earlier, Sreeleela was cast as the female lead and even appeared in the film's first glimpse. However, due to scheduling issues, she exited the project, paving the way for Bhagyashri Borse to join as the heroine. The film, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, promises a village-based love story interwoven with family conflicts and power dynamics, with music by Thaman.
