Ajay Devgn's Ranger shifts to 2027

Ajay Devgn's highly anticipated film, Ranger, has been officially delayed and is now scheduled for release in 2027. The movie, which was previously slated for a December 4 release, will now premiere after Eid in March 2027. This strategic postponement ensures the jungle adventure is ideally positioned for summer holidays.

In Ranger, Ajay Devgn stars as a forest officer dedicated to tiger conservation. His mission faces significant challenges from an ineffective team, corrupt superiors, and a ruthless poaching gang led by Sanjay Dutt, who plays the antagonist. The film's climax was recently shot in Mumbai, with a special song sequence featuring Tamannaah Bhatia and Devgn planned.

The December 4 release date will now feature an untitled comic caper starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The delay of Ranger means Ajay Devgn will have two releases in 2026, with Drishyam The Conclusion also slated for release on October 2. Ranger is produced by Luv Ranjan and directed by Jagan Shakti.
