Ajay Devgn has reportedly taken on an additional directorial role for his upcoming adventure drama, 'Ranger.' While Jagan Shakti is the credited director, Devgn has stepped behind the camera to oversee the reshoot of the film's climax. This decision was reportedly made after the team felt the existing footage could achieve a grander scale and stronger impact.
Devgn's extensive experience with action films is cited as the reason for his involvement in refining the climactic action block. He and action director Kevin Kumar have been working on the revised sequence at Golden Tobacco Studio. The film is set against the backdrop of wildlife conservation, with Devgn portraying a forest officer dedicated to protecting tigers.
The climax is expected to feature a conflict between Devgn's character and poachers led by Sanjay Dutt. The reshoots involve a large jungle set at the studio, incorporating vehicle chases, gun battles, and hand-to-hand combat. Following the completion of the climax, a special dance number featuring Devgn and Tamannaah Bhatia will be filmed, marking the end of principal photography for 'Ranger.'
