The exhibit aims to redefine AI art, moving past the "generative slop" often criticized. "Machine Dreams: Rainforest" uses wearables to track visitor data, allowing the artwork to react and even "feel" the audience back, posing a new question about artistic engagement. Visitors can experience simulated weather, distinct scents, and interactive visual elements.
Further exhibits include the Infinity Room with its neon forest and the Latent Gallery, which demystifies the AI's training data. Anadol seeks to show the profound information behind AI's creations and differentiate his work from misinformation-generating deepfakes. The Sanctuary generates abstract representations of collective energy from visitor data, showcasing the artwork's capacity to react to human emotion.
