An immersive audiovisual exhibition titled "Algorithmic Organisms 2.0," created by Dutch artist Ray Tijssen, has opened in Kuala Lumpur. This exhibition runs until July 19 at The Grey Box, GMBB Kuala Lumpur, and is presented by MAISEAT with support from various organizations.
The show merges AI, generative imagery, and immersive audio to construct a dynamic, living environment. It encourages audience participation, transforming them from passive observers into active elements within the evolving artwork.
Dutch artist Ray Tijssen, known for his work with AI-driven imaging and immersive installations, curated the exhibition. He aims to foster dialogue between art, technology, and culture, reflecting a broader initiative to bring international creative programming to Malaysia.
Tijssen will also conduct a masterclass, "Machine Vision & Human Expression," on July 4 at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia, further exploring the exhibition's themes. The exhibition was previously announced as a sidebar to the Malaysia International Film Festival's 2026 edition.
