This highly anticipated season will see the return of iconic cast members such as Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, and Sarah Paulson. Murphy described the concept as 'like the Avengers,' with actors reprising multiple roles to face an ultimate evil.

Murphy shared his strategy for assembling the star-studded cast, noting that many actors had previously declined returning. He specifically mentioned convincing Jessica Lange, who had been hesitant, with his pitch for this ambitious season. The 13-episode run is deliberately named '13' to mark this special occasion.

Several cast members, including Evan Peters, have expressed surprise and excitement about Lange's return. The season also features Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. Ariana Grande had to exit due to scheduling conflicts. The official logline promises a reunion of beloved characters and new horrors.
