Filmmaker Ahmed Khan recently discussed the strained relationship he shares with Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. The two have been friends since childhood, with Khan recalling their bond starting over 30 years ago when he was 11 and Shahid was 7. Their professional collaboration began with Shahid's early music video and debut film, with Khan choreographing projects like "Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra" and "Ishq Vishk."
Khan later directed Kapoor in "Fool & Final" and produced "Paathshala" which featured the actor. However, reports of a significant rift emerged in 2015. Khan revealed in an interview that Shahid did not visit him when he was hospitalized with a severe vertigo attack, and he consequently did not attend Shahid's wedding that same year.
Explaining the current distance, Khan stated that both he and Shahid are now pursuing different types of films. He suggested that a future collaboration would only be possible when their creative sensibilities align. Khan also acknowledged that their lifestyles have changed, leading to less frequent meetings compared to their youth.
