Ahaan Panday Avoided Mom After Emotional Film Reaction

Actor Ahaan Panday shared an unusual consequence of his debut film, 'Saiyaara,' where his mother, Deanne Panday, exhibited a profoundly emotional response. Upon seeing her son on screen for the first time, she was overcome with tears, prompting Ahaan to temporarily avoid her at home.

Panday confessed that his mother's constant crying and disbelief at his performance made him uncomfortable, though he later recognized it stemmed from her deep emotional sensitivity. He drew parallels between his own performing abilities and his mother's inherent traits.

The romantic film 'Saiyaara,' directed by Mohit Suri and released in July 2025, achieved significant commercial success. It reportedly earned ₹338 crore in India and a global total of ₹580 crore, establishing Ahaan Panday and co-star Aneet Padda as a popular on-screen pairing.

Ahaan also expressed profound gratitude for his mother, whom he considers his backbone and a significant source of his resilience. He acknowledged her crucial role in his life, stating he is who he is today because of her support and her experience as a mother, which he deems the most demanding job.

Panday began his journey towards 'Saiyaara' at 17 when he was discovered by a casting director, officially signing with a production house at 21 and commencing shooting for the hit film at 26.
