He then surprised them by revealing that his apology video was pre-recorded, and he was actually outside with a yellow Lamborghini, a car he had marked as a potential prize purchase.
Despite this elaborate trick and the surprise it generated, Vergara ultimately decided to eliminate Moten from the competition. Meanwhile, Howie Mandel also made his eliminations, sending home impressionist Rynia Kando and ventriloquists Naimana & Daniele, while advancing rockers Nene Royal and Bird & Byron, and comedians Cris Sosa and Daniel Alvarez.
The Live Shows for America's Got Talent are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 18, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with next-day streaming on Peacock. The public's voting results will be announced on Wednesdays.
