In the climatic confrontation of Agent from Above, the Demon King Vasavatti, having infiltrated the mortal realm through manipulated ritual killings, is ultimately defeated. Wu Tien-chi served as Vasavatti's vessel, but when Han Chieh was on the verge of death, the Third Crown Prince descended into Han Chieh's body to vanquish the ancient evil.
Vasavatti had strategically used Yeh Tzu, who was suffering from blood cancer and close to Han Chieh, as a pawn. His plan was to offer Han Chieh a demonic rival, grown within Yeh Tzu, in exchange for Han Chieh becoming his apprentice. Han Chieh refused this dark offer.
To save Yeh Tzu's life, the Third Crown Prince presented Han Chieh with a golden liver. Sadly, Yeh Tzu passed away a few months later as her cancer progressed. Han Chieh, however, found peace in her final moments, never regretting his choice.
Han Chieh's relationship with the Third Crown Prince was revealed not as servitude, but as a test. The series concludes with a post-credit scene depicting an unidentified figure summoning a new demonic creature, indicating a future threat distinct from Vasavatti, potentially setting the stage for a second season.
