WWE Stars Called Out By AEW Tag Team

AEW's James Drake has issued a public challenge to Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, formerly of WWE and known as The Motor City Machine Guns (MCMG). Drake, alongside Zack Gibson of The Grizzled Young Veterans (GYV), seeks a third encounter with the acclaimed tag team. The MCMG recently concluded their tenure with WWE, having captured the WWE Tag Team Titles during their time there.

The challenge from Drake comes after GYV and MCMG have already competed against each other twice. Their previous bouts included a trios match in TNA in 2024 and a standard tag team match at a DPW event where Drake and Gibson secured a victory. MCMG had a past appearance in AEW at the 2022 All Out event, teaming with Jay Lethal, but did not sign with the promotion then.
