The beloved world of Adventure Time is expanding with a new series, "Side Quests," produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Announced as part of Warner Bros. Animation's upcoming slate, the show brings back young hero Finn and his magical dog best friend, Jake, for new adventures in the land of Ooo.
Fans will be delighted to hear that original cast members are returning to voice their iconic characters. Sasha Knight voices Finn the Human, while John DiMaggio reprises his role as Jake the Dog. The series also welcomes back Hynden Walch as Princess Bubblegum, Olivia Olson as Marceline, and Niki Yang as BMO, among others.
Showrunner Nate Cash expressed excitement, likening the production to the collaborative spirit of the original "Adventure Time." The series aims to capture that same magic, offering new journeys with Finn and Jake. The production team includes Darrick Bachman as Story Editor, with Victor Courtright and Niki Yang directing.
"Side Quests" is set to stream on Disney+ and Hulu, a notable collaboration between the two platforms. The mothership series, "Adventure Time," previously aired for 10 seasons on Cartoon Network, with earlier offshoots like "Distant Lands" and "Fionna and Cake" appearing on HBO Max.
