A new multi-generational drama series, "The God of the Woods," is set to captivate audiences with its exploration of dark family secrets and class tensions. The narrative unfolds in the picturesque yet mysterious setting of the Adirondacks, focusing on the complex Van Laar family.
At the heart of the story is the unresolved disappearance of 13-year-old Barbara Van Laar from her family's summer camp. This mystery is further complicated by an earlier family tragedy that may hold significant connections.
As the past and present converge, the series will expose the damaging ramifications of unchecked privilege and the abuse of power. Condon is set to portray Alice Van Laar, Barbara's mother, who is depicted as hardened by grief and trapped in a strained marriage.
