In just a few weeks, the pulse of Amsterdam will quicken as the city hosts the 30th edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) from October 22-26, 2025. This annual festival, first held in 1996, has become one of Europe's most integral music conferences, drawing major players in the dance and electronic music industry.
The 2025 lineup promises to be a dazzling celebration of the event's 30-year legacy. Headliners include an intimate fireside conversation with UK rapper and DJ Skepta, discussing the continued success of his Mas Tiempo label. Another highly anticipated session will feature Daft Punk creative director Cédric Hervet, providing insights on the French duo's foray into Fortnite. Additionally, the event will see a special gospel-electronic fusion performance by Honey Dijon and the ZO! Gospel Choir at the historic De Nieuwe Kerk.
Notably, this year's ADE will coincide with Amsterdam's 750th anniversary celebrations, making the event an even more significant milestone. The organizers have curated a program that captures the momentum of the electronic music scene, including a 39.5-hour ambient meditation experience and live ambient sessions at the iconic Concertgebouw.
"The cool thing about ADE is that we have over 1200 events, and the bad thing is that we have 1200 events," laughs Jan-Willem van de Ven, ADE's director. With such an extensive schedule, the festival offers endless opportunities for music professionals to connect, do business, and immerse themselves in the vibrant electronic music community.
