Marathi Stars Divorce After 15 Years

Marathi actors Addinath Kothare and Urmila Kanetkar have announced the end of their 15-year marriage. The couple released a joint statement confirming their mutual and amicable decision to part ways as partners. Their primary focus moving forward will be their daughter, Jizah, whom they are committed to co-parenting with unwavering love and support.

Urmila Kanetkar, a trained Kathak dancer and accomplished actress, began her career in Marathi television in 2003. She has since built an extensive filmography in Marathi cinema and also explored digital platforms, appearing in the Amazon Prime series 'Breathe'. Addinath Kothare is also set to appear in the upcoming 'Ramayana'. The couple, who married in 2011, emphasized that while their marital journey has concluded, their dedication to Jizah's upbringing remains absolute, ensuring she thrives in a secure and loving environment.
