He clarified on The Jason Lee Show that while they are not legally divorced, the couple has indeed separated. Adam22 explained that a stalker may have been responsible for filing divorce papers and restraining orders on Lena's behalf, leading to public confusion.

He admitted that his dedication to his online content creation, which often involved spending up to 12 hours daily on YouTube and his podcast, negatively impacted their marriage. Adam22 specifically cited prioritizing his career over his family life as a major factor. He expressed regret for not being present enough, particularly during Lena's postpartum period after they had their child, stating that he felt he let her down and they "fell out of love" due to his lack of active participation in household responsibilities.

Lena the Plug had previously denied divorce claims in June, asserting that court documents were forged by an alleged stalker, prompting an identity theft investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. During a recent Drake livestream, Lena was seen tossing her wedding ring and mentioning a "hall pass" signed by Adam.
