Adam Rickitt's TV Fortune Stolen by Alcoholic Father

Former Coronation Street actor Adam Rickitt, 47, has disclosed that his alcoholic father illicitly took his significant earnings on three occasions. Rickitt explained that even as a young man earning substantial amounts from his acting and music career, the money was consistently given to his father, who then lost it due to his addiction.

This financial betrayal and the father's struggles as a recovering alcoholic led to a 15-year estrangement between them. Rickitt's father, a formerly successful merchant banker, ended up penniless with his home repossessed. Recently, Adam Rickitt announced his return to music, having signed a new record deal and is in the studio recording new material with his wife, Katy Fawcett.

Rickitt, known for his role as Nick Tilsley and a brief music career with hits like 'I Breathe Again' in 1999, had stepped away from acting. He and his wife previously ran a craft beer and gin bar. His career also included stints on Shortland Street and Hollyoaks, and he has been open about his past mental health struggles and a recent significant scam.
