Adam Driver, the acclaimed actor known for his roles in "Girls" and the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, is making a highly anticipated return to television. In a recent announcement, Netflix revealed that Driver will lead the new hostage drama series "Rabbit, Rabbit."
The series follows an escaped convict who is cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop. In a desperate attempt to bargain for his freedom, the convict takes a group of hostages. However, the standoff soon escalates into an "unmanageable social experiment" as the hostages become embroiled in an "emotional poker match" with a veteran FBI Crisis Negotiator, played by Driver.
The show, which has been described as a "highly competitive" acquisition for Netflix, comes from writer Peter Craig, known for his work on "The Batman" and "Top Gun: Maverick." It will be directed by Phillip Barantini, who recently won an Emmy for his work on the acclaimed series "Adolescence."
