Friend Claims Actress Felt Trapped and Tortured

Actress Sanchita Ugale's sudden death, reportedly by suicide on June 14, has prompted a friend to share further details. Gitanjalii Mangal stated that Ugale had been experiencing significant emotional distress and depression since January 2026. Mangal refuted claims that Ugale faced career or financial difficulties, asserting the actress was not unhappy in those areas.

Mangal revealed that Ugale had expressed feelings of life being torturous and that she was not in a good state emotionally. The friend mentioned that Ugale had previously shared thoughts of self-harm, but in the weeks leading up to her death, these specific conversations had not occurred. Ugale was actively working, having shot for a project just two days prior.

Despite recent reassurances from Ugale about her emotional state, Mangal believes the actress was under immense pressure and trauma. Police reports indicate the 22-year-old actress was found in her Nalasopara East residence. She had reportedly locked herself in her bedroom and used a saree to hang herself from a ceiling fan.
