Actress Raveena Ravi Speaks Out Against Persistent Stalker

Actress Raveena Ravi has detailed a distressing three-year period of online harassment culminating in her public statement on Thursday. The ordeal began in 2023 when an individual named Sabarish initially contacted her on Instagram. Despite Raveena's consistent refusal to engage and her use of blocking measures, the harassment persisted through various fake accounts.

In 2024, authorities apprehended the alleged harasser. However, following a period of silence, the individual resumed his abusive campaign. He has been fabricating a narrative, including falsely claiming an engagement to Raveena and even to actress Aparna Balamurali, and disseminating these claims to Raveena's friends.

Following her public disclosure, Raveena has faced victim-blaming questions, such as why she waited three years to report. She highlighted a comment suggesting her actions were motivated by financial reasons. The harasser's father reportedly contacted Raveena's mother, apologizing and citing his son's mental state and future as reasons for her to retract her complaint.
