The recent passing of 36-year-old actress Hayden Panettiere has been definitively ruled an accident. Authorities in South Carolina confirmed that the investigation into her death, which occurred on August 16th, has concluded. The Greenville County Coroner's Office determined the cause to be the toxic effects of multiple drugs, including fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine.
Importantly, the coroner's report indicated no signs of trauma that could have contributed to her death. Police investigations also found no evidence of foul play during their initial response and inquiry. Panettiere, who had openly shared her battles with addiction, had reportedly been in rehab weeks prior to her passing.
Her mother described her as a fighter, aware of her addictions and her efforts to live a healthy life. The actress, who began her career as a child star and later appeared in films like "Remember the Titans," had documented her struggles with postpartum depression and grief, including the loss of her brother in 2023, in her memoir.
