Actress Gouri Kishan Shuts Down Journalist's Body-Shaming Question

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has since released a public statement expressing their support for Gouri. "AMMA understands your pain, Gouri. And we strongly believe that it is wrong to engage in body-shaming -- irrespective of who does it, when and where," the note read.
Several other celebrities, including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Rajisha Vijayan, and Chinmayi Sripaada, have also come forward to praise Gouri for her brave and graceful response to the inappropriate question. Even Gouri's co-star, Aditya Madhavan, has issued an apology, acknowledging that his silence did not mean he approved of the body-shaming.
