Summary
- An actress filed an FIR against Indigo Airline for a missing bag.
- The airline offered ₹3,000 compensation for items worth ₹80,000.
- She aims to raise awareness about lost baggage and airline accountability.

Actress Kanchi Singh initiated legal action by filing an FIR against Indigo Airline following the loss of her cabin bag. The incident occurred on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai on September 28, 2025, when airline staff requested she check her bag due to limited overhead space. Upon arrival in Mumbai, the bag was missing, leading to a prolonged period of uncertainty and inadequate responses from the airline.
After nearly two weeks without substantive replies, Singh was offered a compensation of ₹3,000. This offer was significantly lower than the estimated ₹80,000 value of the lost personal and professional belongings, which included expensive makeup and important documents like her PAN card and driving license. The FIR was lodged at Sahar Police Station in November 2025.
While the recovery of her belongings seems unlikely, Singh stated her intention to go public to warn passengers about safeguarding valuable items and to advocate for airline accountability. Indigo Airline acknowledged the incident, stating they provided support and cooperated with authorities, regretting that the baggage could not be recovered.
