In the new comedy series "I Love LA," actors Leighton Meester and Josh Hutcherson play characters who reflect their own experiences with workplace dynamics. Meester, 39, portrays a stereotypical L.A. publicist who is also the boss to Maia, played by Rachel Sennott. Meester reveals that she has "been in toxic work environments" similar to the one depicted in the show, where a boss may not "uplift" their employee.
Hutcherson, 33, who co-stars in the series, says he relates to his character Dylan, Maia's boyfriend, who is "very much wanting to plan things and do things in a way that are logical and make sense." The actor admits that in real life, he has a "knack for surrounding myself with people that are the opposite, and that can be frustrating at times."
