Actor's Army Dream Dashed by Tragedy

Actor Indrajith Sukumaran, currently preparing for his upcoming film 'Dheeram', has opened up about a significant childhood ambition he once held: joining the Army. Growing up in a Sainik School, the discipline and uniform of the military were deeply ingrained in his daily life, influencing his approach to roles.

Sukumaran revealed that he had successfully cleared the written entrance exams and secured an interview call for the Army, a considerable achievement. However, his path took an unexpected turn when his father, actor Sukumaran, passed away suddenly. This profound personal tragedy necessitated a shift in his priorities, leading him to abandon his military aspirations to support his mother.

Reflecting on this period, Indrajith considers his father's passing a critical turning point. While many of his peers went on to serve in the Army, he believes this event steered him, perhaps unknowingly, toward the film industry, shaping the trajectory of his life and career. His film 'Dheeram' is slated for release on December 5.
