Actor James Handy Brutally Slain; Final Film Unreleased

Actor James Handy, who had a long career in film and television, was found brutally slain at his girlfriend's home this week. His latest work, a comedy film tentatively titled "Kickback, V," will not be released, according to writer and producer Heidi Anderson-Swan. She remembered Handy as one of Hollywood's sweetest individuals. The film, centered around nerds learning martial arts, had been stalled in pre-production for various reasons, including financial difficulties.

Anderson-Swan expressed shock and heartbreak over Handy's death. Police are investigating the brutal slaying, which they believe was committed by his girlfriend's son, Michael Gledhill. Gledhill, 44, has been arrested and jailed on a $2 million bond for murder charges, though a motive has not yet been released. Handy was known to frequently speak of his adored partner.
