Probe Demanded Over Actor's Insect Bite Incident

Actor Rajesh Sharma was hospitalized following an alleged insect bite on the set of an upcoming Prabhas film at Ramoji Film City. The incident, which occurred recently, led to the actor's condition deteriorating, necessitating hospital care. A statement detailing the event, initially shared by actor Sudipa Chatterjee, has since been removed from social media.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has urgently called for a high-level investigation into the incident, urging Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to order a probe. AICWA also demands that the film's producer cover Sharma's medical expenses and insists on strict legal action if negligence is discovered.

Questions have been raised regarding the on-set emergency protocols and the immediate care provided to Sharma. AICWA seeks clarity on whether adequate medical facilities were available and if workplace safety norms were adhered to, emphasizing that no production is above accountability.

Sharma's condition is reported to be improving, with his breathlessness controlled and blood sugar levels stabilized. However, he remains under close medical observation, and doctors have not yet declared him out of danger. The actor has an extensive filmography, having appeared in numerous acclaimed Indian films.
