Moroney Leads ACM Nominations with Nine Nods

Megan Moroney leads the field for the ACM Awards, securing nine nominations including a bid for the coveted entertainer of the year prize. She is closely followed by Miranda Lambert with eight nominations and Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson, each with seven. Chris Stapleton is the highest-ranking male artist with six nominations.

The ACM Awards ceremony is scheduled for May 17 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. For the second year, Prime Video holds exclusive rights to the live broadcast, which will commence at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and be available on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and the Amazon Music app.

Moroney's nine nods represent her first nomination for entertainer of the year. She will contend in this category against Lainey Wilson, the reigning title-holder, alongside Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, and Morgan Wallen. Miranda Lambert, recognized as the most decorated artist in ACM Awards history, increased her nomination count through songwriting and producer credits on Langley's hit 'Choosin' Texas'.

Album of the Year category features surprises like newcomer Carter Faith for 'Cherry Valley' and Parker McCollum for his self-titled album, which are their sole nominations. Riley Green's 'Don't Mind If I Do (Deluxe)' and Morgan Wallen's 'I'm The Problem' are also contenders. The ACM Awards' nomination system differentiates itself by counting separate nominations for artists acting as performer, songwriter, and producer on the same track.
