Acclaimed Director Anand Ekarshi Explores Love and Relationships in Captivating Short Film

In October 2025, acclaimed director Anand Ekarshi is making waves with his latest project - a captivating short film titled "Isle Of The Golden Swan". The film, which features veteran actor Prakash Raj in a major role, delves into the complexities of human relationships and the true nature of love.

Ekarshi, known for his National Award-winning film "Aattam", has incorporated the traditional Indian art form of Koodiyattam into the short's narrative. The story revolves around a grandfather-granddaughter dynamic and the people around them, exploring psychological elements and the question of whether we truly love those we claim to.

The director reveals that Prakash Raj, who had previously praised Ekarshi's work, joined the project just 5 days before filming was set to begin. Despite his illustrious career and accolades, Raj worked on the short film for free, driven by his passion for the script and the team's dedication. Ekarshi describes the experience of working with Raj as "a big realisation", praising the actor's grounded nature and ease of collaboration.
