Lynette Howell Taylor has secured a second term as president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization responsible for the Oscars. This news was announced on Wednesday, alongside the election results for other officer positions for the 2026-27 term.
Lesley Barber and Jennifer Fox were re-elected as Vice Presidents, with Barber chairing the Membership Committee and Fox leading the Awards Committee. Lou Diamond Phillips will continue as Vice President/Secretary, heading the Equity and Inclusion Committee. David Dinerstein is the newly elected Vice President/Treasurer, overseeing the Finance Committee.
Officers serve one-year terms and can serve a maximum of four consecutive years in a single role. As Howell Taylor has completed two governor terms, she will also serve as an ex officio voting member of the board until her presidency concludes.
