This new role, titled director and president of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and Academy Collection, marks a significant organizational alignment.
This strategic consolidation integrates all facets of the Academy Foundation's history and preservation initiatives. For the first time, a single individual will oversee collections, conservation, preservation, exhibitions, and screening components, fostering a unified approach to cinematic heritage.
The Academy Collection has also seen substantial new acquisitions, including the hero bicycle from "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" (1985), tap shoes worn by James Cagney in "Yankee Doodle Dandy" (1942), and various scripts, costumes, and personal collections from notable figures.
