24 Aug
Summary
- Ablaze Youth Choir won a prestigious Stellar Award.
- The choir grew significantly after the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The Stellar Awards ceremony will air nationally on TV.
The Ablaze Youth Choir recently achieved a significant milestone, winning a Stellar Award and returning to their home church, United Christian Faith Ministries, as national champions. This victory marks a moment of deep gratitude and inspiration for the young members and their director, Mark Ellis Jr.
The choir's journey to this award began with a passion for sharing their gifts through music. After the COVID-19 pandemic, Ellis Jr. worked to rebuild and expand the group, inviting friends and other young people. This effort led to remarkable growth, transforming a small ensemble into a community of over 80 dedicated members.
Their dedication and musical talent culminated in national recognition at the Stellar Awards. The ceremony celebrating their achievement is set to air nationally on The Stellar Network on August 29 and on BET on August 30.
