The incident occurred when Abhishek was approximately 13 or 14 years old, during a party hosted by the Bachchan family to celebrate Amitabh Bachchan's first National Film Award for his role in Agneepath.
During the celebration, Abhishek playfully pushed Archana Puran Singh into the swimming pool. Archana recalled the event, mentioning she was wearing a miniskirt at the time. She also humorously noted hearing unfamiliar words from Abhishek, which she initially misunderstood as related to his mother or sister.
Archana clarified that her comments were not directed at Jaya Bachchan. She further recounted how both Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were highly apologetic and embarrassed by Abhishek's prank. Amitabh Bachchan even offered Archana his kurta pyjama to change into, an offer she politely declined.
