Abhay Verma Denies 'Choomantar' Role: Is the Film a Myth?

Abhay Verma has officially denied any association with the sci-fi rom-com 'Choomantar.' Despite widespread media reports suggesting his involvement following his success in 'Munjya,' Verma clarified that the film is not currently in development.

Verma expressed surprise at the speculative reports, which detailed supposed casting changes and upcoming shoots for 'Choomantar.' He stated, "It's apparently not happening. There was a lot of follow-up news after the first rumour came about." He humorously noted that the rumored film garnered more attention than his actual projects.

Despite the project's apparent non-commencement, Verma conveyed genuine enthusiasm for 'Choomantar's concept, wishing for its eventual realization. He is currently focused on his real involvements, including his recent sleeper hit 'Munjya' and the series 'Operation Safed Sagar.'

Verma also spoke about the recognition he received with a solo credit in 'Operation Safed Sagar' alongside industry stalwarts Jimmy Sheirgill and Siddharth. He views this as a motivator and emphasized his passion for acting and the opportunities it provides.

Pushing back against being labeled the "golden boy" due to recent successes, Verma credited the audience as his ultimate support. He highlighted the overwhelming positive response to 'Operation Safed Sagar,' describing it as a unifying emotion for the forces. His upcoming film, 'King,' slated for a Christmas release this year, features an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
