Reality television personality Abby Lee Miller recently had a dramatic moment at SeaWorld Orlando when her wig came off while riding the Penguin Trek roller coaster. The incident, captured on video, showed Miller's hairpiece detaching from her head during the ride's course. Miller, who was 60 years old at the time of the ride, had reportedly worn the wig as a disguise to enjoy the theme park unrecognized.
The footage shared on social media shows Miller's wig flying off as the coaster reaches its top speed. Those seated behind her reacted to the hairpiece's unexpected flight. Miller, initially unaware, eventually noticed her stocking cap headwear without the wig. Upon exiting the ride, she acknowledged the mishap, stating she was last on the ride's 'pyramid' due to not securing her headpiece.
SeaWorld Orlando's Penguin Trek, which opened in 2024, is described as a family-oriented arctic-themed ride. It features two launch sections, reaching heights of up to 65 feet and speeds of 43 miles per hour. The roller coaster concludes by leading riders into a penguin observation area. This attraction is one of several operated by SeaWorld, with parent company United Parks & Resorts also managing Busch Gardens parks.
