Outspoken podcaster Abbie Chatfield is venturing into the art world, recently sharing her first painting with fans. The abstract piece, a "psychedelic slug," has sparked significant interest, leading Chatfield to create a dedicated Instagram page for her artwork, titled Bug Doing Art. This new artistic endeavor saw its page rapidly amass over 1000 followers shortly after its creation.

In parallel, Chatfield has rekindled her efforts on her long-delayed book, which she had previously put aside for approximately four years. She admitted to returning the advance for the book, initially intended as a feminism handbook, due to perfectionism and concerns that her ideas would become outdated.

Now, Chatfield is approaching the writing process with less pressure, focusing on "word-vomiting" rather than immediate perfection. While she has not yet secured a new publishing deal, she is actively writing again. The book, described as an "entry level handbook for my baby feminists," aims to deconstruct sexist narratives, though its specific subject has recently undergone another change.
